This resolution creates the House Study Committee on Motor Carrier Inspections. The committee plans to study whether it is in the best interest of safety to require officers to only inspect motor carriers at designated weigh stations or if scheduled inspection appointments can be performed on motor carrier property and plans to analyze how other states balance the benefits of safety inspections with the business and convenience interests of motor carriers.
